An Arrow Shot
What are fanlistings?According to TheFanlistings.org, a fanlisting is a grouping of fans of a particular series, item, or pratically anything of the matter. They don't cost anything and their purpose is simply for fun. However, there are rules you have to follow in order to join a fanlisting, so please read here to learn more.
What is Yami no Matusei?
Shinigami. Those with strong attachments to the world are reborn after death are given new bodies and a new life. Some take the job of becoming agents of Death, those who gather lost souls to the afterlife. The story revolves around young (well, at least before death) Asato Tsuzuki, whom is a shinigami... although not the favorite. He is dorky, happy-go-lucky, spends so much money on food, and nearly no one wants to partner up with him (since shinigami are required to work in pairs). The story begins with him finally getting a partner that may stay with him, Kurosaki Hisoka, a 16 year old stubborn and serious empath. They two don't work well at all, until the story unfolds of a mysterous menance - Dr. Muraki. As they go through cases and occasionally meet up with Muraki, the two grew closer together. Although, there is a past Tsuzuki chooses never to reveal... and it may just be repeated all over again...
Who is Muraki?
Muraki is the main antagonist of the series. He was originally suppose to be the villain in the Nagaski arc, but Youko wanted him to play the foil to Tsuzuki. While Tsuzuki wishes to save lives and wears black, Muraki wishes to kill and wears white.

He first appeared in the Nagaski arc wanting to start a war with the Shinigami. In the manga, Tsuzuki first meets Muraki when trying to save a sick child. In a conversation, Muraki reveals that while he is a doctor, he is anguished that he cannot heal the dead. In reality though, Muraki was the one pulling the strings behind Maria Wong, the dead diva who is secretly possessed to be a vampire. While Muraki is completely human, he has very supernatural powers (he also was the one who caused that child to collapse).
Muraki's story is still never truly finished, but most of it can be decided that he had a twisted childhood. His mother was obsessed with dolls, and treated him like a doll as well. He had a half-brother named Saki, whom is suggested to cause Muraki disruption. Saki was killed eventually by a personal guard, and Muraki became dedicated to ressurrect him. He wanted to kill him himself.
Much of the rest of his life involves cold-blooded pain. In order to find a way to ressurrect Saki, he wishes to use Tsuzuki, whom his grandfather had researched upon. He manipulated others to appear as a good, respected doctor, so no one could get in the way of his plans. Behind the scenes, he is a serial killer, mostly to gain attention to the Shinigami. One of his victims happens to be Tsuzuki's partner, Hisoka, whom Muraki raped and placed a curse on that eventually killed him at a very young age.
He has no sympathy for any of his victims. The only person he wants is Tsuzuki, although he has befriended Oriya and Professor Satomi. He also had a woman in his life, though not much is known about her.
Why "The Origin of Sin"?
Well, Muraki is pretty devilish isn't he? Most villains usually have some sort of deep past for the reasoning of his actions. Muraki does as well, but it has yet to be fully elaborated as the manga never truly finished from vol. 11. Also, this title came from a lyric of an Angel Sanctuary song.
What is with this layout?
Version 1.0: Grayscale - My first not-so colorful layout, also the first time I used my own scans for my layout. This picture in the layout was scanned by myself completely, with some cleaning edits, of course. Overall, it feels 'meh' to me, as I know I could have done better. Still, it isn't so horrible as I expect it to be. Texture from Hybrid Genesis.
