Family
Yagami Taichi: Older Brother (Onii-san)Though Taichi can be reckless, he has a huge concern over his sister. Ever since a traumatizing incident when he was young, he has been more aware of her health problems. He checks her temperature ever once in a while, and jumps into saving her even when she doesn't need saving. But like all siblings, they play a lot and often can be a bit mischievous. However, they often have different ideas, speaking that they are also different ages and gender. Taichi is more athletic and playful, while Hikari is more home-bred. It doesn't stop them from caring each other one bit, though.
Yagami-san: Mother (Okaa-san)Just as Taichi was traumatized over the incident years ago, so was her mother. She was working as always, and didn't know what the cause of her fainting was. She was so distressed, she put the blame on Taichi and smacked him. When Hikari had the flu over summer, she let Hikari stay home while her brother went to summer camp. I would say that her mother had to make some priorities on Hikari over Taichi even, since when every parent was taken hostage by Vandemon, she was overcome with grief over worry of her daughter, rather than her son. But she did love both of them very much, even commiting herself to believe in their destiny at the Digital World. Overall, she can be rash when it comes to her sickness, but nonetheless, caring and loving just as all the parents are. Except, her cooking isn't that... great.
Yagami-san: Father(Otoo-san)We don't see Hikari's father much as the mother. He is mostly a busy man, but like his wife, he is worried about his daughter. Her father spends most of the show gone, but he sits every once in a while and watches television with Hikari. Fathers and daughters don't bond very much, but when he does make interaction, he shows what every father should have. He was also very strong for his wife when his two children are off to fulfill their destiny as well.
Miko: Family PetSince Hikari mostly stays home, she usually takes care of Miko. Hikari loves animals, especially cats, which explains her interest in Tailmon when she met her in the park. Anyway, what more can be said about Miko? Miko, I believe, means "priestess" in Japanese. Miko only shows an important moment when she grabbed Hikari's digivice and carried it around, leaving Izumi a false clue to where the digivice would be during the search for the eighth child.
Child (Son?)By the end of season 2, we get a glimpse to the current lifestyles of the Digidestened. Each person has their own kid with their digimon partner similar to their own. He carries Hikari's precious whistle, and looks almost just like her with her hair and clothes. His shirt is yellow, though, which might give us a hint as to who the husband is, but there is not much info on him otherwise.
