Arche is simply another little bugger that has no sole reason or purpose to the Tales series and is just there to act like a whiny pain in the butt. Or for the perverts to make fun of that one boat scene. Why make a fan shrine on her, when there are just loads of better characters?

While Arche isn't really my favorite of the Tales series, she is close to being in the top list. I am for characters with interesting development, as well as add positive impressions. I dislike angsty, cold, and/or mysterious characters - unless handled nicely, most are too clichéd and make me depressed. She's the happy-go-lucky type of person who always manages to keep the group in their good side. Arche doesn't really have much connection to the storyline at all, but I like that. Her story is simple, and even with her problems, she lives a good life. This positive outlook allows me to take a step away from all the chaos in the main storyline and cheer me up. Her story isn't just pickin' flowers, though, it takes a little development. Arche has been seperated from her mother, and is discriminated against all the elven because of her mixed blood. Not tecnically anything original, but the idea of her strong output to pull her problems ahead, but not ignoring them then angsting about it later.

Another thing I liked about Arche was her interesting design. Yes, Arche is full of pink. Usually, that alone turns me off, but Arche manages to keep this in a positive matter. She isn't aromed in cuteness - she's a witch! She can perform some of the most deadliest spells, as well as some of the most helpful than any other black mage in the Tales series. I mean, come on, who really kicked the ass of Dhaos in Narikiri Dungeon 2? She wears a pony tail, and her hair is very untame. It represents adorable ness deep within her knowledge. She also can be quite a mouth, but it just makes you want to hug her. Sure, her cooking sucks, and she can be dirty, but within all that, she is a sweetheart.

And because everyone else had a fanlisting as well. Heh.
